Laundromat Franchise Owners

There’s More Than One Path

Our franchise owners come from different careers, industries, and stages of life. What they share is the capital, business mindset, and ambition to build an enduring local business.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Three Paths. One Opportunity.

You don’t need laundromat experience to build a LaundroLab. Some of our strongest candidates come from entirely different backgrounds. These three profiles tend to see the opportunity quickly.

The Experienced Business Builder

You know how to operate, lead, and scale.

You may already own multiple businesses, franchise locations, or operating units. You understand people, processes, financial performance, and the value of a proven system.

You Might Be:

  • A multi-unit or multi-brand franchise owner
  • An experienced small or middle-market business owner
  • An operator accustomed to managing managers
  • Looking to diversify into another durable, local business

Why LaundroLab fits:
A repeatable model, essential service, experienced support infrastructure, and the opportunity to build a multi-unit portfolio.

The High-Earning Professional

You’ve built a career. Now build an asset.

Executives, professionals, and high W-2 earners often reach a point where they want more than another investment account. They want to put capital and business experience toward something tangible they can grow and own.

You Might Be:

  • An executive or senior leader
  • A high W-2 earner looking to diversify.
  • Interested in real estate, depreciation, or long-term wealth creation

Why LaundroLab fits:
A physical operating business with significant equipment and real estate considerations, backed by a franchise system designed to help you learn the industry.

The Next-Chapter Entrepreneur

Your career gave you experience. Your next chapter is here.

Some great franchise owners come to LaundroLab after successful careers. They have the capital, patience, judgment, and time to build something meaningful without starting entirely from scratch.

You Might Be:

  • Retired or approaching retirement
  • Leaving a corporate career
  • Looking for a second act in business ownership
  • Interested in building something alongside family
  • Ready to stay engaged without inventing a business model yourself

Why LaundroLab fits:
A business you can be proud to build locally, with a system, team, and network around you from day one.

WHAT GREAT OWNERS HAVE IN COMMON

Different Backgrounds. Similar Green Flags.

There’s no single resume for a great LaundroLab owner. But across backgrounds, we consistently see a handful of traits that translate well to the business.

Business-Minded

Understands a P&L, thinks in returns and tradeoffs, and makes decisions with the long term in mind.

People Leader

Knows how to hire, develop, and hold a frontline team accountable while building a culture people want to be part of.

Community Builder

Understands that the strongest laundromats become part of the neighborhoods they serve.

Operationally Curious

You don’t need to be a mechanic. You should understand the equipment, utilities, & systems that make the business work.

Patient Builder

Understands that great businesses compound. Laundromats take time to ramp, and the right owner is building for years, not underwriting a quick flip.

LAUNDROMAT FRANCHISE REQUIREMENTS

Capital Matters. So Does How You Think About It.

LaundroLab is a significant investment. We look for well-capitalized candidates who can build the business responsibly and give it the runway to mature.

Minimum Net Worth

$1,000,000

We look for candidates with a net worth of at least $1M to ensure you’re well-positioned to absorb the investment and sustain the business through its growth phase.

Minimum Liquid Capital

$500,000

Liquid assets of at least $500K ensure you can fund the build and cover operating capital needs without overleveraging early on.

Credit Score

740+ Preferred

A strong credit profile — 740 or higher — is preferred. All candidates undergo a credit and background check as part of the approval process.

Mindset

Entrepreneur First

Beyond the numbers, we’re looking for motivated entrepreneurs who are excited to build something — not just own something. A ground-floor brand mentality matters here.

Total estimated initial investment ranges from $1,182,500 to $1,715,500 per location, as disclosed in Item 7 of the LaundroLab Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). Figures are estimates only and not a guarantee of actual costs. Contact LaundroLab to receive a copy of our FDD.

NOT EVERY OPPORTUNITY IS FOR EVERY INVESTOR

LaundroLab Isn’t for You If…

– You want passive income. This is an operating business, not a hands-off investment.
– You need a quick return. Great laundromats take time to ramp and are built to compound over the long term.
– You don’t want to lead people. Even with strong systems and support, your team ultimately matters.
– You don’t want to engage locally. Local reputation and community presence remain important parts of building the business.
– You’re looking for a shortcut. We provide the playbook, technology, brand, and support. Ownership still requires execution.

NOT PASSIVE. BUT BUILT WITH REAL ASSETS.

LaundroLab requires engaged ownership, but the investment can offer characteristics sophisticated investors value: Depreciable equipment & assets Real estate ownership potential Opportunity Zone potential Long-term portfolio value Tax benefits may include depreciation and other advantages depending on investment structure and location.
